Luke 4:18-19 (NLT)“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, for he has ANOINTED me to bring Good News to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim that captives will be released, that the blind will see, that the oppressed will be set free, and that the time of the Lord’s favor has come. ””
2 Corinthians 1:21-22 (NIV)“Now it is God who makes both us and you stand firm in Christ. He ANOINTED us, set his seal of ownership on us, and put his Spirit in our hearts as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come.”
Spiritual sensitivity: The anointing allows believers to connect with the spiritual realm and understand spiritual truth.
Discerning truth: The anointing helps believers differentiate between right and wrong.
God's power: The anointing is a manifestation of God's power, allowing believers to accomplish supernatural miracles.
Set apart for a purpose: In the Bible, anointing was used to consecrate people for specific roles, such as kings, prophets, and priests.
Source of strength, healing, and protection: Anointing oil is seen as a symbol of the Holy Spirit's presence and work, and is used in various Christian traditions for healing and protection.
A reminder of God's presence: For many believers, anointing is a tangible reminder of God's power and protection in their lives.

Today…RESISTColossians 2:14-15 (NLT)“He canceled the record of the charges against us and took it away by nailing it to the cross. In this way, he disarmed the spiritual rulers and authorities. He shamed them publicly by his victory over them on the cross.”
Jesus has Defeated SatanChristians are not called to defeat Satan. Satan, "our ancient foe," was absolutely defeated by Christ's sacrifice on the cross and in His resurrection.Our assignment is to trust in the victory that Christ already achieved and daily resist satan with the truth of his defeat, as Jesus did.
Satan is a Liar
John 8:44 NLT“The devil was a murderer from the beginning. He has always hated the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, it is consistent with his character; for he is a liar and the father of lies.”
Satan is the father of lies and a master deceiver (John 8:44).
If he can convince you that God has not defeated him, then you will not experience Jesus' victory.
You will find yourself fighting battles that Christ has already won! Fear God not Satan
Some fear Satan though he has already been totally defeated. Fearing Satan is fearing a prisoner of war. Christians can become preoccupied with battling Satan.
This deceives them to invest their time and energy attempting to do something that Christ has already done for them.
RESIST SatanJames 4:7 (NLT)“So humble yourselves before God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”
Your responsibility is to resist Satan, and he will flee from you (James 4:7).
When you resist him, you are acknowledging that Jesus has defeated him and given you victory over his influence.
God has provided you with spiritual armor that is more than sufficient to withstand any assault by Satan (Eph. 6:10-20).
As you go about sharing the gospel message with others, Satan and his forces face the reality of their defeat in each life that is claimed by the kingdom of God (Luke 10:17-20)
God gives us land with enemies in it. We must resist.
